Child Cancer Foundation

JK Kids Gear has been helping the Child Cancer Foundation help brave kids with cancer and their families since 2006.

In that time the support JK has provided CCF has been to the tune of $175,000 in cash, but that's not the only way JK works with the Foundation, we also provide new clothing for every newly diagnosed child - a much needed treat to help them feel better and ease the financial pressure on their family.

Every JK Kids store is an outlet for the public to purchase CCF Beads of Courage during the annual appeal. The Beads of courage are a great fundraising venture and such an easy way to contribute to a worthy cause.

In 2008, JK initiated "add $1 at the till". This fundraising effort gives every JK customer a chance to donate $1 (or more if you wish!) to CCF when they make an in-store purchase. "Add $1 at the till" has been extremely successful and is hugely supported by all our sales staff in every store!

During the annual appeal each year, JK Kids Gear works with NZ celebrities and CCF to design a range of kids T-shirts. T- shirts are designed for girls and boys and range in size from age 1yr right up to 12yrs. The T-shirts are fun and fashionable and designed with kids in mind. The tee's retail for $19.99 of which $10 goes directly to the Child Cancer Foundation. This year's CCF tees are still in-store so if you haven't already got one, hurry in and pick one up.

JK also make regular donations to the clothing banks at each of the CCF Family Places around the country - the clothes donated by JK are a huge help when families are away from home for long periods of time, when children's clothing sizes change due to the nature of their cancer treatments or financial pressure makes new clothing otherwise impossible.

The Child Cancer Foundation is an extremely worthy cause and as a company we do all we can to support this invaluable charity. We hope the next time you are in a JK store you do your part to help CCF too.
